Our Values
In This Section
Open Source
We use and support open source projects, including Drupal, Magento, WordPress, and various Linux distributions. We value the collaborative nature of these projects and the ability to give our clients the opportunity to save money through the use of free open-source tools, and we encourage them (and ourselves) to "open-source" our work when possible, meaning that once we have developed a new piece of functionality, we believe that where applicable, it should be made available to anyone to use, as opposed to keeping it proprietary. Thus, we complete the circle and give back to the programming community that provided us with so much.
Information Security
We take your security seriously. We do not store sensitive information such as credit card or social security numbers, and we hold to PCI Compliance and the latest security technology when handling online commerce.
Our Community & Charity Organizations
We also believe in being invested in our local community. Although we've had with a wide variety of clients, we especially enjoy working with small and local businesses— "the engine", as many have put it, "of the new economy"— and nonprofit organizations working to make our world a better place. On occasion, when we can, we donate work & time to nonprofits and charities so that our services go as far as possible for them.
Lasting Relationships
We put significant effort into long-term business relationships with our recurring clients and collaborators. "One-off" projects help keep our business challenging and interesting, but it is the lasting relationships that ultimately demonstrate the trust others have in our work. We do whatever we can to keep these going and growing.
Environmental Sustainability
Because statistics show that web servers are quickly growing in electricity use and— consequently— as a source of climate change-inducing greenhouse emissions, we power our office and web servers with sustainable wind power.
While we know we won't be perfect, we recognize the importance of protecting our environment for ourselves and our neighbors. Because of this, we work with— and may be able to offer unique pricing for— those who are lowering their carbon footprint and working for a cleaner environment, while attempting not to support extractive and polluting industries.
