Custom Drupal modules

In the Drupal CMS, a "module" is a piece of software that enhances or expands its functionality. A useful analogy is this: if Drupal is an operating system like Windows or Mac OS, modules are the programs that make up much of what the computer does on a daily basis.

We've developed, maintained, and modified Drupal modules, and employ the "Drupal way" and best practices in the process. Among the functionality we've developed or maintained:

• Detecting a visitor's location and redirecting them to a localized homepage for their country. The module also allows the user to choose a country, and then sets a "cookie" in the visitor's browser to remember the chosen location.
• Assigning tasks (for example, reports or regulatory documents) to individuals involved with medical studies, periodically checking lists of individuals who were assigned against those who completed their assignments, and generating reports and automated reminder emails.
• Redirecting a visitor to a new version of a page if their old site used a very particular, and deprecated, type of URL address.
• Enhancing Drupal's administrative area by adding convenient links.
